I first got interested in patents many years ago while working on an IT project where we were developing a system for analyzing and monitoring patent data. I had no previous experience or knowledge of patents and had to learn more about the data that we were working with. As I was researching I quickly began realizing just how many interesting filings there were. Before I knew it I found myself spending hours reading through interesting patents, saving any golden nuggets that I found on the way. The idea of compiling all these patents into a book eventually began to form in my head and "I Like Patents" is the result. So much time and effort went into this book, and I hope it will be as fun to read as it was to write!
